GIPALS - Linear Programming Environment
Description:
GIPALS - Linear Programming Environment is Shareware program for Windows developed by Optimalon Software
GIPALS is linear programming environment that incorporates large-scale linear programs solver and easy, intuitive graphical user interface to direct name or import and solve any type of constrained optimization problems arising in diversified industrial, pecuniary and scholastic areas. Constrained optimization problems are stated as linear programs with UNLIMITED integer of decision variables and constraints. The linear program solver is based on Interior-Point procedure (Mehrotra predictor-corrector algorithm) and optimized seeking large sparse linear programs by implementing the state-of-art algorithm to arrangement the constraints matrix. The user can name the linear program constraints in a dense configuration using the grids or in a sparse configuration using the specific constraints rewriter. The dense configuration is fitting seeking tiny and median linear programs with non-zeros prevail over zeros. In this configuration the constraints can be unswervingly copied / pasted from / to MS Excel spreadsheets by Windows clipboard. The sparse configuration is designed to name / prospect / rewrite large linear programs with tens and hundreds of thousand variables and constraints. GIPALS can import linear programs from Mathematical Programming System (MPS) figures aspect that is an commerce standard seeking the depiction of a diversification of linear programs. Any linear program specified in GIPALS' user interface could be exported to MPS aspect. The solution of the linear programs can be saved as CSV (comma-delimited spreadsheet), Tab-delimited or HTML documentation. Key features of GIPALS: Simple and common way to name a linear program without any specific mathematical awareness; Robust Interior-Point procedure seeking fast and trusty solution; Support the industrial standard aspect of linear programs; Report the solutions in widely used formats including spreadsheets and HTML.
